There’s a new Naked coming

In case you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past 24 hours, there’s a new Naked palette on the way from Urban Decay, the Naked Smoky.

There are skant few pics available on the internet yet, but here are a few courtesy of Temptalia & Urban Decay.

There’s also a sneaky peek video on Urban Decays YouTube channel here showcasing a gorgeous metallic smoky look.

I’m loving the cool silvers & greys (totally me) & the addition of the green & purple just tops it over the edge for me. I will definitely be making my first Naked purchase since the first one, the others just didn’t grab me in the same way. What do you make of it?

Stila Spring/Summer 2015

I was delighted to be invited to my first blogging event last week by Claire from Distinct Distribution. It was of course, the Stila Spring/Summer 15 Masterclass showcasing Stilas #BombshellCollection with Brand Ambassador Sascha Jackson. I hastily booked my train and hotel as no way in hell was I gonna miss out on this. Now unfortunately the Masterclass happened to coincide with ALOT of snow in Dublin, so the commute was less than ideal. But after a train, a 1 hr 40 minute taxi ride, a Luas ride and a 10 minute walk in the freezing cold, I made it, scruffy as hell, but I made it. Typically the second I arrived in the door of Harvey Nichols, my phone battery died, so I have very few photos. Thankfully the lovely Claire charged my phone for me for a bit so I do have a few photos to show you. Continue reading

2014 The Year Of….

Untitled

The Selfie…..just kidding. Though trust me, you wouldn’t want to see a close up of my face right now, I’ve been sick all over Christmas. It’s been a quiet one in this house, myself and the small boy have spent our days in front of the fire watching Harry Potter movies. His father has been dodging the germs by carrying on with the usual Christmas tradition of going out and getting hammered. Chance would be a fine thing. Anyway, I digress.

For me anyway, beautywise, 2014 has been mostly about SpaceNK & Charlotte Tilbury. Or the year I gave all my money to SpaceNK & Charlotte Tilbury. Continue reading

Bumble & Bumble Thickening Dryspun Finish

You hear Bumble & Bumble mentioned alot in magazine as these amazing products for an “undone” hair look, or to add volume/texture to your hair. I’d never tried any before, as (a) they is not cheap, and (b) I wasn’t really sure what they’d do for my hair. I have fine hair…..but lots of it, we’re talking a serious amount of hair here peoples. It tends to fool hairdressers into thinking I have thick hair, but alas no. I still suffer from d’aul floppy roots as the weight of the sheer amount of hair on my head pulls the roots flat in record time. Continue reading

Pantone Color Of The Year 2015….Makeup Inspiration

Pantone_Color_of_the_Year_Marsala_PCI_Logo Pantone have announced their “Color Of The Year 2015” Marsala to a somewhat mixed reception. Pantone describe Marsala as “Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal while its grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness”. The Christmas Tag

Thanks to the lovely Chloe from Nurse Fancy Pants, who tagged me to do this post.

Tree-House-Christmas-Decorations-Ideas

1. What is your favourite Christmas movie/movies?

Home Alone without a doubt. Close seconds would be Miracle on 34th Street (either version, I ain’t picky) and It’s A Wonderful Life.

2. Do you open your presents on Christmas eve or Christmas morning?

Christmas morning!!! What is wrong with you? Frankly I’m slightly suspicious of people that open their presents the night before. I bet they sleep in for half of Christmas day instead of spending it with friends & family.  Continue reading
